A man spotted by a neighbor exiting a nearby residence with an armful of personal property was taken into custody by Cumberland County Sheriff Butch Burgess Monday.
Eric Logan Brown, 23, 112 Burk Dr., is charged with aggravated burglary. He was also served with an attachment for his arrest for failure to pay in connection with unrelated charges in General Sessions Court.
Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Timothy Dr. in the Breckenridge Rd. area after a neighbor reported seeing a man exiting a house with items in his hands. He called the homeowner who said he did not know the suspect and had not given anyone permission to take items from the house.
Burgess was the first officer on the scene and turned the suspect over to Cpl. David Bowman when he arrived on the scene. Recovered were a push mower, microwave oven and hot plate valued at $240.
Bond for Brown was set at $9,250 on the two charges.
