The Cumberland County grand jury met in special session on July 2 and handed down dozens of indictments charging local residents with a host of crimes, ranging from robberies to drugs and assaults. The following is a list of those expected to answer charges in court on Monday.

Pickup indictments

The following persons were arrested on new charges handed down by the grand jury and, in most cases, had not been in court on these charges prior to the grand jury action. All defendants are to appear in Cumberland County Criminal Court on July 16.

•Gary Ephraim Brewer, 62, 347 Carriage Dr., July 9/indicted on a charge of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor with bond set at $60,000.

•Cindy Ann Dillaha, 52, 41 Wilshire Dr., Fairfield Glade, July 9/indicted on a charge of initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine with bond set at $60,000.

•Ronald Dale Dillaha, 54, 41 Wilshire Dr., Fairfield Glade, July 9/indicted on a charge of initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine with bond set at $60,000.

•Michael Scott Emerson, 43, Room 107, Budget Inn, July 9/initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine and on a new charge of simple possession of marijuana.

•Julie Ann Lewis, 33, 40 School Ave., July 9/an indictment charging two counts each of sale and delivery of a schedule III drug with bond set at $10,000

•Amber Nichole Helton, 30, 226 Lawton Brown Rd., or 92 Jacob's Crossing, July 12/two indictments with a total of four charges; two aggravated burglary and two theft of more than $1,000 with bond set at $40,000.

•Samantha Rose Sherrill, 21, 335 Doris Dr., July 9/two indictments with a total of four charges; two aggravated burglary and two theft of more than $1,000 with bond set at $40,000.

•Timothy Everette Walker, 22, 219 Dogwood Ave., July 9/indictment charging theft of more than $10,000 with bond set at $20,000.

•Robert Allen Vanderhoof, 43, 407 Crossville St., Monterey, July 11/indicted on two counts of forgery with bond set at $5,000; and arrested on a new charge if writing a bad check.

The following indictments were handed down in cases bound over to the panel from General Sessions Court. The defendants were aware of the pending charges and had already made bond.

Fraud

•Darion Michael Davis, seven counts of fraudulent use of a debit card.

Methamphetamine

•Paul Jonathan Wing, superceding indictment charging initiation of the process to manufacture meth, two counts of theft of more than $500, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also, a separate indictment charging promotion of the manufacture of meth.

Possession

•Jeffery Allen Sharp, possession of oxycodone for sale and for delivery, possession of hydrocodone for sale and for delivery, theft of more than $500, unlawful carrying of a weapon and simple possession of Xanax.

Assault

•Johnny Ray Davis, assault.

•Timothy Richard Forster, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

•Todd Michael Mono, aggravated assault with serious bodily injury.

•Troy Lee Rector, aggravated assault.

Driving under the influence

•James Edward Whittaker, second offense driving under the influence, simple possession of oxycodone, felony evading arrest, third offense driving on a revoked license and refusing to take an intoximeter test.

•Estle Andrew Greene, eighth offense driving under the influence, third offense driving on a revoked license and violation of a habitual motor vehicle offender order.

•Lee Ann Matthews, driving under the influence by allowing and child neglect.

•Robert Lee Moodispaugh, driving under the influence, felony evading arrest, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, possession of a prohibited weapon, refusing an intoximeter test and driving on a suspended license.

•Jeffery Eugene Morgan, third offense driving under the influence, second offense driving on a revoked license and refusing an intoximeter test.

•Larry Lynn Rasar, sixth offense driving under the influence and felony evading arrest.

•Richard Lynn Sherrill, driving under the influence and violation of the habitual motor vehicle offender law.

Other offenses

•Brian Burkhalter, violation of the sex offender registry and public intoxication.

•James Hugh Gist, contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Two separate indictments charging violation of an order of protection.
