Paul and Sandy Thomas provided the entertainment for the most recent 127 Seniors meeting.

The 127 South Seniors met April 20 for bingo, sweets, coffee and conversation. Buckeye Home Health furnished the gifts, and Arlene Simmons called the numbers. Fred Zoeller, president, opened the regular meeting followed by prayer given by Brenda Williams and the pledge to the flag led by Frank Knapp.

Jan Neitzke gave the trips report. The May trip to Savannah is sold out. The June 12 trip will be to Murfreesboro/Bell Buckle. A few seats are still available, and the cost is $50. This includes several stops and lunch at Miller's Grocery. The trip on July 10-12 will be to Helen, GA, with several stops including Babyland Hospital (Cabbage Patch Kids), Anna Ruby Falls, Warm Springs and Calaway Gardens. A $50 deposit is due May 18. The Aug. 16 trip will be to Nashville to the RCA Studio B and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Cost is $50 and is due July 13. The Sept. 12 trip will be to Falcon Rest for a show and dinner, and the cost is $50. October will be the trip to the Grand Canyon. More are needed for this trip. Nov. 6 will be the trip to Ryman Auditorium, which is sold out at this time but you can put your name on a waiting list in case there are cancellations. Dec. 11 will be the trip to Pigeon Forge for a Christmas show.

Nancy Fincher gave the sunshine report and asked members to keep the following in their prayers: Dot Conklin, Pat Mount, T.C.Lewis, Evelyn Dye, Emil Neitzke, Gene Brown, Rita Marvin family and Bob Jones.

Guests were Mike and Tonya Martin. New members are Willard and Charlotte McCormick.

Fred announced the senior picnic will be at Obed Park July 20 and a deposit is due with a refund if you attend. Members only. Rose Garchow gave the dates for Music of the Cumberlands, which is a fundraiser for the senior center. The dates are July 17, Aug. 7 and Oct. 30.

Fred reminded everyone to buy Kroger coupons, bring in items for the 127 sale and come enjoy free bluegrass music every Thursday night at the center.

After the table blessing, Jan Neitzke and her kitchen helpers served turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. Sides were brought in by members. Sandy and Paul Thomas provided the music for the program.
