The 127 South Seniors met April 22 for bingo, sweets and conversation. Frank Knapp called the numbers, and the gifts were furnished by Dr. Galloway and the Kirklands.
The regular meeting was called to order by President Fred Zoeller. The prayer was given by Larry Oslund, and the pledge to the flag was led by David Tyler.
Jan Neitzke gave the trips report. The May trip will be to Branson. This trip is sold out. On June 4, members will see a cavern concert. Seats are available, and the cost is $45. The July 16 trip is the Rambler train trip, which has two seats available. Cost is $55. The August NashTrash trip is sold out, but the September Black Bear Jamboree trip has two seats available. Cost is $58 with dinner. The October trip will be to Hawaii, and there is space left for one female. The November trip will be to Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theater, with four seats available for $55 each. The December trip will be to Huntsville, AL. This trip is sold out. Jan reminded everyone of the yearly picnic at Obed Park, which is set for July 15.
Nancy Fincher gave the sunshine report. Please keep T.C. Lewis in your prayers. Fred mentioned the next game day will be May 24. Bring in items for the 127 corridor sale, buy Kroger coupons and do not forget that bluegrass music is performed every Thursday night at the senior center.
The entertainer was Ralph Pell, and he sang a lot of Elvis songs. He sounded a lot like Elvis. Thanks, Ralph.
After the table blessing, Rachel Schellinger and her kitchen helpers served cod as the main dish, and members brought in salads and desserts. Remember this Friday is the fifth Friday of the month so bring in sandwiches, salads and desserts.
