Communications Analyst for AARP, Lindsay Sena, said that Leonard K. Stark, of Fairfield Glade, had instructed more participants in his classes than any other volunteer in the State of Tennessee in the month of November during the Veterans Promotion Incentive Challenge.
“In honor of all Veterans who have served our country, current and past, AARP provided the Safe Driving Course in the month of November 2011 free of charge. All veterans, their spouses, and dependants over the age of fifty were eligible. This eight-hour course comprised a $14 value. This was one way that AARP could fulfill it commitment in supporting the local community,” Sena said.
Stark extended his thanks to Mark Daniels, head of the Cumberland Veterans Affairs Office, for co-coordinating this effort with the six veteran organizations in the county. He also wanted to thank Commander Mark Daniels of the VFW Post #238 and Commander Richard DuBois of the DAV Post #163 and their members whose facilities were provided for the classes. In addition, he thanks all the veterans who participated in making this veterans program a success.
