Lois May Neuber, 76, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 12, 2011. Funeral services will be Saturday at noon from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, two hours prior to the service at Hood Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of William and Lydia Nitzsche. She was a homemaker and a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was a gifted seamstress who also enjoyed knitting. She was very active and loved to bowl on the senior mixed leagues. A great game of pinnacle was another hobby she always looked forward to as she was quite an excellent player.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Neuber, of Crossville; son, Bruce Neuber and wife, Joyce, of Crete, IL; daughter, Susan Towler and husband, David, of Frankfort, IL; grandchildren, Nichole Towler Rouillac and her husband, Julien, Heather Towler Walker and her husband, Ryan, Lauren Towler Fennell and her husband, Kevin, Ashley Neuber and Nancy Spagnola; and great-grandchildren, Landon Walker and Cadance Carson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Nitzsche.
