The 2008 Relay for Life was held Friday night at the fairgrounds. The theme was "Once upon a time...there was a cure." The survivors' walk was held right after the opening ceremonies, as seen with this group of women. Over 120 survivors registered. This year's fundraising goal was $185,000, up from last year's $177,000. As of Saturday morning, they had raised $137,000.
