Ledbetter, Vaden named All-Region

CROSSVILLE — Two members of the 2014 Cumberland County High School baseball team were selected All-Region.

Senior Matt Ledbetter was recently selected to the Tennessee Baseball Report's All Region team for Region 3. 

Ledbetter hit .402 for the Jets with 41 hits, 22 RBI, 34 runs scored, and 28 stolen bases.  He was also 6-1 on the mound with two saves, 64 strikeouts and a 1.61 ERA. 

The senior was also named District 6AAA Co-Player of the Year with Warren County's Logan Underhill. He also won the Jets Quality at-Bat Award (QAB) and Defensive Player of the Year Award.

He also played in the Tennessee All-Star Classic at Cumberland University June 7.

Sophomore Drew Vaden was also selected as a pitcher on the Super Freshman/Sophomore team. 

Vaden complied a 4-2 record for the Jets, with 41 innings pitched. He also recorded 48 strikeouts and had a 3.0 ERA. 

The duo helped the Jets finish 21-15 overall and second in District 6AAA at 12-3.
