Junior varsity basketball heading toward November tournament

CROSSVILLE — The Cumberland County elementary junior varsity basketball league continues toward its November tournament with four double-headers last Thursday night — Homestead at Crab Orchard, Stone at South, Martin at Brown and Pleasant Hill at Pine View.

Stone at South

South 49, Stone 9: Zach Street poured in 10 points to lead the Rebels to their 49-9 win over the Coyotes.

Brady Brewer led Stone with six points.

Pleasant Hill at Pine View

Pleasant Hill 28, Pine View 8: Donny Roby and Justin Hargis each scored six points to lead the Hornets over the Pioneers.

"All of the boys played hard and received valuable playing time," said Coach Brian Conatser.

Pleasant Hill 10, Pine View 8: Sadie Robbins and Hayden Sims tallied four points aeach for the Lady Hornets.

Leslie Mullins and Katey Mackie each had four points for Pine View.

Homestead 48, Crab Orchard 28: Zach Boyd and Riley Day tallied 19 and 10 points, respectively, to the lead the Bulldogs over the Tigers.

D.J. Reed led Crab Orchard with 16 points.

Skylar Dishman, Katie Adkisson and Chastity Cooper led Crab Orchard with five, four and one point, respectively.
