Panther volleyball scores 3-2 win over Livingston


CROSSVILLE — The Stone Memorial Lady Panther volleyball team's record went to 9-3 this week with a 3-2 win over Livingston Monday and a 3-0 loss at Rhea County Tuesday.

The Lady  Panthers dropped the first games to the Lady Wildcats 26-24 and 25-23, before winning the last three games 25-17, 25-22 and 15-5 to take their victory.

SMHS lost 25-18, 25-16, 25-23 at Rhea County Tuesday, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

SMHS traveled to Cookeville Thursday for another District 6AAA match and will visit White County Sept. 5.


The Lady Panther soccer team opened their home season Thursday against Jackson County and will open District 6AAA play against Warren County Sept. 5, after playing their first three matches on the road — Smith County (Aug. 20), York (Aug. 22) and Scott Scott (Aug. 27). No results are available from the three away matches.
