Lady Panther cross country team wins All-Comers meet Thursday

CROSSVILLE — The Stone Memorial cross country teams competed in the small school division of the Ashe Park All-Comers meet  Oct. 4 in Knoxville, with the Lady Panthers taking first place with 32 points and the Panthers fourth with 117 points.

Caroline Pribanich finished third in 21:30.80, followed by Kerigan Smith (22:04.90), fifth; Rachel Hutson (22:51.70), seventh; Tiffany Cokkinias (22:58.80), eighth; and Emily Swafford (23:27.80), 10th. Those five times counted for their final points.

Also, running were Faith Van Ruden (23:37.20), 12th; Ali Livesay (28:10.5), 41st and Alexandra Anthony (30:53.10), 55th.

The Panthers were led by Bo Hamilton (19:11.00) in 21st place. He was followed by Mario Martinez (19:11.30, 22nd; Blu Shillings (19:21.10), 25th; Sam Hagan (19:2.70), 26th; and Ismael Matius (19:34.50), 28th. These times counted toward the 117 point total.

Also, competing were John Mathis (19:38.30), 30th; Anthony Spencer (19:42.50), 31th; Justin Simmons (19:52.70); Austin Varney (20:10.60), 41st; Luke Nastri (22:22.20), 94th; Justin Hall (22:41.40), 96th; and Skylar Hawn (22:42.50), 97th.

According to tn.milesplit.com, there were nine girls' teams in the small school division. Christian Academy of Knoxville was second (35) and Loudon third (125).

Gatlinburg-Pittman won the boys small school division with 96 points, followed by CAK (108) and Sweetwater (108).
