Lady Panther track team is Queen of the Mountain

CROSSVILLE — The Stone Memorial track teams hosted the King of the Mountain meet Friday afternoon, with the Lady Panthers winning the girls division and the Panthers taking third.

The Lady Panthers finished with 165 points ahead of Karns (129), Cookeville (66), Livingston (33.5), White County (15.5) and Clarkrange (three), while the Panthers recorded 88 points, behind Karns (174) and Cookeville (128), and ahead of Livingston (16), Clarkrange (16), White County (3) and Upperman (1).

Kerigan Smith (13:09.47) and Rachel Hutson (13:12.21) finished one-two in the girls 3200-meters.

Aly McNulty won the 100-meter hurdles in 18.68, with Rachel Raulerson taking fourth in 20.77.

The Lady Panther 4x100 relay team was third in 56.43, while the Lady Panther B team was fourth in 1:00.56.

The Panthers 4x100 relay team was fourth in 50.74, while the girls 4x800 A team was the winner (11:13.87).

Lacy Melton was fourth in the 100-meter dash (14:58), while Raulerson was seven in 15.09.

Brian Frye was third in the 100-meter dash in 11.52.

Carolyn Pribanich (6:09.30) and Hutson (6:17.43) were second and third, respectively, in the 1600-meter run, while John Mathis (5:29.50) and Jordan Schroeder (5:40.33) were fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 1600-meter run.

The Lady Panther  A team (2:01.23) and B team (2:21.78) finished second and fourth, respectively, in the 4x200 relay, while the Panther 4x200 team was third in 1:49.32.

Three Lady Panthers placed in the 400 meter dash — Kayli Priestwood (1:06.86), first; Tiffany Cokkinias (1:08.83), third; and Charming Wurm (1:15.05), sixth.

Boomer Freeman (1:03.98) and Chandler Reed (1:11.81) finished eighth and 12th, respectively, in the 400-meter dash.

Kayli Priestwood won the 300-meter hurdles in 54.09, while Blu Shillings was second in the boys 300-meter hurdles in 44.18.

In the 800-meter run, Faith VanRuden was second (2:50.26), with Hutson fourth (2:58.79) and Isaro Bedialauneta-Txurruka seventh (3:08.62).

Luke Nastri was seventh in the 800-meter run (2:39.50) and George Sampley eighth (2:42.17).

Laura Chavez was fourth in the 200-meter dash (30.35).

Brian Frye won the 200-meter dash in 23.35.

The Lady Panther 4x400 relay team was first in 4:42.99, while the Panther 4x400 team was fourth in 4:27.88.

Aly McNulty won the high jump in 4-06.0.

SMHS placed three in the top five of the girls discus — Makayla Kington, first (97-08), Brett Suggs, second (80-00) and Riley Hunt, fifth (53-07).

The Panthers finished one-two-three in the discus — Brady Wattenbarger (111-02), Sam Caballero (110-04) and Nick Bohannon (107-07).

The Lady Panthers placed three in the top 10 of the shot put — Makayla Kington, first (31-07.50), Brett Suggs, second (23-06.50) and Riley Hunt, fourth (21-11.00).

Sam Caballero won the shot put in 44-09.00, with Brady Wattenbarger, third (38.05.50) and Nick Bohannon (17-00.00).

Corey Myers was runner-up in the long jump in 18-10.00.

Schedule: SMHS will compete in the East Subsectional at Red Bank High School May 9, with the top four qualifiers advancing to the East Sectional at CAK May 14.
