JA hosted 5K run


CROSSVILLE — The first Junior Achievement (JA) 5K was held April 13 to raise funds to support JA in the Cumberland County school system. It was a perfect day for running with plenty of sunshine and cool temperatures. The one-mile course was held on the Stone Memorial High School grounds and the 5K course included a stretch on Cook Rd. The race was organized by Krista Kemmer and Chris Smith of the Youth Achievement Foundation and timing and results were generously provided by the Crossville Noon Rotary group.

Race sponsors included Eco Travel Plaza, Robert W. Agee, Inc., Farm Bureau Insurance, Dave Kirk Automotive, Progressive Savings Bank, Realty 1 Group, Cumberland County Bank, Crab Orchard Elementary, Tabor's Pawn Shop and Furniture, Brown Insurance Group, Homestead Elementary, Gernt Insurance, Lansford and Stephens/CPAs, Pepsi, Renee and Company Hair Salon, Kroger, Food City at Fairfield Glade, United Grocery Outlet, Flowers Bakery and Crossville Noon Rotary.
