CCHS football golf tournament tees off June 1 at Bear Trace

CROSSVILLE — The Cumberland County High School football team's fund-raising golf tournament will be held Saturday, June 1, at Bear Trace Cumberland Mountain, beginning with a noon shotgun start.

The four-person scramble will feature A (0-9), B (10-14), C (15-20) and D (21 and up) format, with $400 going to the first-place team and $200 going to the second-place team.

The entry fee is $65 per person or $260 per team, which includes green fees, cart, range balls, lunch and prizes. There will be special events mulligans, 50/50 drawing and other activities, with lunch being served at 11 a.m.

•Also, the annual Blue and Gold game and Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be May 4 at 5 p.m. at Jet Stadium. Nominees for the Hall of Fame are Phillip Mincy, Danny Taylor, Larry Dyer, Larry Long, Al Bohannon, Billy Cannon, Dr. John Sherrill, Marty Davis, Billy Wayne Davis and Terry Meadows.

As part of Saturday's activities, a corn hole tournament will be held that morning. More details will follow.

The Jets will host Moore County in a scrimmage Friday, May 3, at 6 p.m.
