SMHS baseball boosters to sell homemade chili Feb. 23

Submitted

CROSSVILLE — Keep Feb. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. free on your calendars, as the homemade chili will be simmering in the cafeteria at Stone Memorial High School.

Family tickets are $20 for five persons or a couple can dine for $10.  This includes chili with all the fixings, hot dogs, drinks and desserts along with door prizes, and the chance to purchase treasures from the silent auction.

Children will be able to participate in activities planned just for the Panther Cubs. If you need some strong arms for chores, the Panther baseball players will also be up for auction for spring cleaning duties.

Tickets can be purchased from SMHS players, coaches and parents, and will also be available at the door.

Sales started Jan. 31.  This is the major fundraiser for the season with proceeds going to field maintenance and supplies, equipment, and scholarships for players’ fees.

Interested businesses and individuals who would like to make donations for the silent auction or purchase a sign for the baseball field can contact Booster Club President Jeff Cooper at 261-4407.  The community has always been a great support to the team. The season starts on March 11 with the first home game March 12. Hope to see you at the luncheon and at the field for another great season for Stone Memorial Baseball.
