Perfect weather conditions give way to good scores at annual City of Crossville Golf Tournament

CROSSVILLE — Thirty-two teams enjoyed perfect conditions last Wednesday at Lake Tansi in the City of Crossville Golf Tournament. Those conditions were reflected in the scores.

Jason Sitton, Sonja Sitton, Tom Solberg and Jeff Waldo fired a 14-under-par 58 to claim the first flight, winning by a single stroke over Brian Wyatt, Roger Potter, Kyle McShan and Steve Kotus (13-under-par 59).

It took a scorecard playoff to determine the winners in the second flight, as three teams tied at seven-under-par 65.

Eric Brady, Heath Blaylock, Mark Houston and Bob Atchley took first-place honors in the second flight over Greg Dorton, Steve White, John Bergenson and Dennis Woodsmall. Danny Plumlee, Charlie Barfield, Doug Hansen and Frank Thierry were third.
