CROSSVILLE — The Stone Memorial Panther baseball team will hold a fund-raising chili supper and silent auction Saturday, March 1, at 6 p.m. in the SMHS cafeteria. Guest speaker will be Aaron Small.

Small is a former major league pitcher with the Toronto Blue Jays, Florida Marlins, Oakland Athletics, Arizona Diamondbacks, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves. He is best remembered for his successful stint as a starter for the Yankees in 2005, when he went 10-0 with a 3.20 ERA and 37 strikeouts.

All proceeds from the chili supper and auction will go toward the Panther baseball team.
