Scarbrough to continue golfing career at Trevecca Nazarene

CROSSVILLE — Four-time All-District 6AAA golfer Spencer Scarbrough signed a scholarship with Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville Friday afternoon in the CCHS library.

The Jet senior averaged 78.6 per round in 12 events this season and tied for sixth at the Cherokee Classic, tied for 33rd in the Cookeville Tournament, was second in the Golf Capital Classic at Lake Tansi and finished sixth in Keith Maxwell Invitational for Coach Randy Herring.

He posted impressive numbers during his four years.

As a freshmen, he averaged 42.2 in 20 rounds and had one top 10 finish in five tournaments, averaging 84.2 per round.

As a sophomore, he averaged 39.8 in 26 rounds and had three top 10 finishes in five tournaments, averaging 78.8.

During his junior year, he averaged 40.2 in 27 rounds and averaged 81.6 in six tournaments wit two top 10 finishes.

As a senior, he played in 22 rounds for a 39.4 average and played in five tournaments with three top 10 finishes.
