Parsons signs with Bryan College

CROSSVILLE — Cumberland County High School senior Logan Parsons will be joining older brother, Caleb, and former SMHS players Brandon Cole, Robert Trioino, Luke Matthews and Tyler Yoder at Bryan College in Dayton for the 2014-15 school year.

Caleb Parsons will be a senior, while Cole and Troino will be juniors. Yoder and Matthews will be freshmen in the fall with Logan Parsons.

Logan Parsons averaged 14.6 points and five rebounds per game with 35 steals and 49 assists. The four-year letterman was the Jets co-Best Defensive Player and Best Offensive Player this year, while finishing his career with 1,210 points.

He was All-District and All-District Tournament, after helping the Jets finish fourth in the league tournament; however, the Jets lost at Walker Valley in the opening game of the Region 3AAA Tournament.

As a junior, he won the team's rebounder award and was All-District.

He is the son of Bruce and Jenny Tollett. His younger brother, Trevor, plays basketball at South Cumberland Elementary School for Coach Randy Herring.

Bryan College head coach Don Rekoske and the Lions will be playing Johnson University, formerly Johnson Bible College, Nov. 1 at Stone Memorial High School. More details will be announced at a later date.
