Lady Jets stung by Lady Jackets 4-0

CROSSVILLE — The Cumberland County High School Lady Jet soccer team was shut out 4-0 by the Kingston Lady Jackets Tuesday night in Kingston.

"It was a rough game, but we had break-out performances from Sydney Clarke,  Kayde Johnson and Emily Monday," said Coach Jeremy Conner. "The girls came out without much energy and struggled to get their feet into the game. Midway through the first, Kingston was able to get on the board and, from there, they rolled. The tempo and pace were both areas we could control, but we had a lot of trouble keeping any possession. "

CCHS (0-2) traveled to Cookeville Thursday night for their District 6AAA opener and will host White County Tuesday at 6 p.m. in their district home opener.
