SMHS to celebrate 2013 homecoming next week

CROSSVILLE — Stone Memorial High School will be celebrating homecoming Sept. 9-13, capped by next Friday's  game with the Pickett County Bobcats at 7 p.m. on Panther Field.

The team for this year's homecoming is "It's Gonna Be a Cat Fight."

Dress up days are: Pajama Day (Monday), Duck Dynasty Day (Tuesday), Senior Citizens Day (Wednesday), Hero/Villain Day (Thursday) and Black/Gold Day (Friday).

The school will be sponsoring a "Teacher Door Decoration" contest.

Rules for the door decorating contest are:

1. Doors must be ready by 8 a.m. on Sept. 9.

2. The homecoming theme must be included.

3. The class the teacher sponsors must be represented on the door.

4. Decorations must be temporary.

There will be a Powder Puff football game on Sept. 12, beginning at 4 p.m.  A pep rally/bonfire will follow that evening.
