Lady Jets show their volunteer spirit

CROSSVILLE — The 2013-'14 CCHS Lady Jet Basketball team volunteered as "Huggers" at the annual Special Olympics Sunday, Sept. 22. The games are hosted by Cumberland County and the ARC. "It was a rewarding experience for our team," said senior Rebekah Teeple. "We enjoyed helping and cheering on the participants and we look forward to helping in the Special Olympics again next year," said sophomore Kelsie Eldridge. The Lady Jets Basketball team plans to continue its volunteer efforts throughout the 2013-'14 season. The annual "Meet the Jets & Lady Jets" event will be Saturday, Nov. 2. from 1-6 p.m. at CCHS.

    CCHS baseball is pleased to announce that the annual alumni game will be Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. at Jet Park.  This has become an annual tradition for the program to welcome back its alumni for a weekend of festivities and allow them the opportunity to lace up the spikes another time to represent the Jets.
