Lady Panthers finish 3-1 in Queen of the Mountain Volleyball Tournament

CROSSVILLE — The Stone Memorial Lady Panthers volleyball team hosted the annual Queen of the Mountain Tournament Saturday and finished with a 3-1 record, while CCHS also competed and went 0-4 in the tournament.

The Lady Panthers opened the tournament with a 2-0 win by scores  of 25-16, 25-19 over South-Doyle, defeated Sullivan Central 2-1 on scores of 25-20, 22-25, 16-14. beat Alcoa 2-0 on scores of 25-15, 25-16 and defeated CCHS 25-18 and 25-7. They lost 25-11 2-0 via scores of 11-25 and 16-125.

SMHS hosted CCHS Monday afternoon, followed by  home matches Tuesday with Rhea County and Cookeville on Thursday, before competing in the Rocky Top Classic Friday and Saturday at Knox Karns.

After playing at SMHS Monday, the Lady Jets will travel to White County Tuesday and host Rhea County Thursday, before competing in the Jackson County Tournament Saturday in Gainesboro.
