Cumberland Medical Center, along with the Cumberland County School System and the Tennessee Coordinated School Health, has rescheduled the free sports physicals for Feb. 9. The event was postponed this past weekend due to inclement weather.
The free sports physicals will be conducted at Cumberland Physician Group at 133 Hayes St., which is on the south side of the hospital.
This was originally to have taken place at the Community Complex.
This event will begin at 8 a.m., Feb. 9, in the Cumberland Physician Group building just outside the caféria/maternity entrance to the hospital. Appointments are required.
Pick up the consent and release form and the TSSAA medical evaluation form from the child's school. Complete the forms in full and bring them with the child the day of the appointment. The child's parent or guardian must accompany and stay with the child.
This event is not to replace a yearly physical performed by the child’s primary physician, but will follow the guidelines required by the TSSAA to qualify and participate in school sports.
In the event the weather turns bad and ice exists on Friday, this will be postponed. Pre-registered kids will be contacted via phone on Friday and rescheduled.
