Prize Fight announces “Conflict in Crossville,” featuring local undefeated professional boxer Tyler Howard (6-0) facing Dennis Williams (7-2) from West Monroe, LA, at Cumberland County High School April 5. This main event is scheduled for six rounds.
“This is going to be my toughest fight, by far. I’m stepping up big-time. I can’t wait to fight in front of my hometown and I’m bringing my A game,” said Howard. Williams, a veteran of nine fights, said “Tyler has been given weak guys to build his record. I’m not coming to lose. I’ve seen enough tape on him to know how to knock him out. He hasn’t seen anyone with my power or speed. I don’t see him going the distance with me.”
The card has four undercard bouts highlighting the return of local favorite Marty Robbins.
Also seeing action on the card will be Mike “The Hammer” Pannell and Kenneth “The Cannon” Council who are both from Knoxville. Maurice Hooker (12-0-2), who just fought on Showtime Jan. 17, will also see action in a six round bout.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. and first bout at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling (931) 287-5577.
