Every year the PTO at Stone Memorial High School honors the top 25 students academically in each class.
Two Panther baseball seniors have placed in this elite group for each of their four years in high school, and one freshman beginning his own tradition of academic and athletic success.
As the NCAA enforces stricter academic rules for their student athletes, these young men show the maturity to balance honors courses with a rigorous schedule.
Senior catcher Nathan Greene will be graduating 14th in his class alongside senior leftfielder Sawyer Casey ranking 15th.
Austin Helton starts his freshman year on the right path in the top 25 of his class.
Stats in the scorebook are indicative of hard work and practice on the playing field. Maintaining their grades while fielding starting positions demonstrates another level of commitment and maturity that will propel Nathan and Sawyer in the next chapter of their education, while Austin has his cleats on the right baseline. Panther baseball congratulates these young athletes on their academic honors.
