SMHS soccer team wins one, loses one last week

CROSSVILLE — The Stone Memorial Panther soccer team saw their record go to 5-1 by splitting a pair of District 6AAA games last week, blanking Rhea County 2-0 Tuesday and losing to Warren County in overtime.

The Panthers took home another victory on last Tuesday as they beat Rhea County 2-0. Both goals were scored in the first half of the game by Jonathan Janeway and Russ Boyd.

The Stone Memorial boys’ soccer team suffered their first loss Thursday night against Warren County. The Panthers held strong throughout the game, holding the score at 0-0, but were defeated in sudden death overtime.
