94 entered in TPGA's Tennessee Senior State Open

CROSSVILLE — Defending co-champions professional Harry Taylor and amateur Danny Green are among the 94 entrants into the TPGA's Tennessee Senior State Open hosted by the city of Crossville. The tournament will be May 13-14 at the Stonehenge Golf Club in Fairfield Glade.

Green and Taylor tied for the championship with four-under-par 68s, and were declared co-champions after wet, rainy conditions cancelled the final round of the third tournament at Stonehenge.

Thunderstorms suspended play on the first day of the tournament, forcing 24 of the 101 participants to return early on the second to complete the first round. Stonehenge received three inches of rain in 24 hours, forcing last year's tournament to be canceled.

The tournament is open to all professionals and amateurs with a 10 handicap or better who live in Tennessee. Players must be 50 years old by May 13. There will be two divisions this year — regular senior (50-64) and super senior (65 and older).
