CROSSVILLE — Well, is it time to fish or to cut bait or perhaps play in a charity golf tournament? I say it is time to play golf at the premier charity golf tournament in Cumberland County.

The 15th Cardiac/Pulmonary Alumni Golf Tournament will be played May 22 at the award-wiinning Bear Trace Cumberland Mountain golf course.

Gather a team and join the unlimited fun which includes green fees, golf cart, continental breakfast, lunch, free beverages, goodie bag, prizes and an inclement weather guarantee — all for the  low entry fee of $60. Entry forms are available at most local courses.

C/PR Alumni dedicates every dollar of profit to aid cardiac and pulmonary patients who are eligible for financial aid. The rehab program is an intensive three month course that retrains patients to understand proper exercise, diet and mental toughness to covercome a heart or lung setback. This program is nationally certified and requires a physician's recommendation.

C/PR Alumni exists because of the generosity of local business and individuals. There are many opportunities to lend support such as purchasing an advertisement in the "Our Heart Facts" booklet (2,000 distributed throughout the community), memorial ads to loved ones, greens sign and in-kind donations.

Contact information for the tournament is Bill Halsey at 707-5505 or Tom Ackerly at 456-0391 or snail mail C/PR Alumni, P.O. Box 14, Crossville, TN 38557-0014.
