Jet alumni baseball contest set

The 2013 Cumberland County High School alumni baseball game is set Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at Jet Park. The game is open to any players who played baseball while attending CCHS in the past. The alumni game with a full seven- or nine-inning game, depending on the number of pitchers.

The registration cost is only $25 and includes a game shirt as well as batting practice at Jet Park on Friday evening, Sept. 13. The cost is down because there is no Jet football game on Sept. 13.

Alums have an opportunity to take battling practice at the CCHS baseball complex at 7 p.m. (indoor/outdoor depending on weather).

All players are encouraged to arrive by 9:15 a.m. and are to be dressed in appropriate baseball apparel (hat, baseball pants, cleats) and bring any needed equipment. Balls, bats, helmets and catcher's gear will be provided.

The Jets Baseball program would like to officially invite all former players to return that weekend and take part in the game as well as reminiscing with old teammates.

"Our baseball alumni are an important part of our Jets Baseball family and we look forward to seeing them all that weekend," said Coach Dave Prichard.

Please make an effort to return registration forms by Sept. 1 if possible.  Anyone with questions can call CCHS Head Baseball Coach Dave Prichard at 337-9721 or reach by email at
