CCHS basketball team to host golf tournament

CROSSVILLE — The Cumberland County High School basketball teams will be hosting their annual golf tournament March 29 on the Heatherhurst Brae Course with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

This will be a four-person scramble using A, B, C, D handicaps. The recommended team would be A (0-9), B (10-14), C (15-20) and D (21 and up). Men will play from the white tees, ladies from red tees and seniors 65 and over from the gold tees. Teams may be all men, all ladies or mixed.

There will be two fliights based on 16 teams per flight. The first-place prize is $300 and the second-place prize is $150.

There will be closest to the hole prizes on the four par 3s and a 50/50 drawing after play with many door prizes. Registration is at 10 a.m. with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Food will be provided after play. The entry fee is $55 per player or $220 per team.
