Four Crossville Horseshoe Club members received awards from the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association (NHPA) for their efforts in league play. There was a total of 5,301 members that participated in NHPA Sanctioned Leagues during 2012. 1,229 of that 5,301 total were in the men's 30-foot division.
The four club members that received Top Ten Awards were in the men's 30-foot division.
Bobby Fields, of Pikeville, received his awards for finishing first nationally with the high point average of 126.39 and second nationally with the high game points of 137. He also had the high ringer average of 79.71 percent and high ringer game of 95 percent in the men's 30-foot division.
Elmo Cox, of Crossville, had the High Ringer game of 95 percent and the seventh high ringer average of 70.13 percent in the men's 30-foot division.
Doug Farnsworth, of Crossville, had the ninth high ringer game of 85 percent in the men's 30-foot division.
Roger Totten, of Crossville, had the 10th high game over average +33.22 percent in the men's 30-foot division.
