CROSSVILLE — There will be a change in venue for the countywide semifinals for the elementary varsity tournament either Thursday or Friday night. The championship games will be played Saturday night at SMHS.

The move from SMHS to CCHS was dictated as the Panther basketball teams have to make up a District 4AA contest with Scott County Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. SMHS hosts Clarkrange Friday night for homecoming, and will host Kingston Monday night for senior night.

The championship games will go back to SMHS on Saturday, as CCHS will hosting Rhea County for senior night. The Rhea County game was moved to Saturday from Feb. 11 to allow the Jets and Lady Jets to make up a District 6AAA game with Cookeville.

The championship games in both the western and eastern divisions were played Tuesday night at SMHS.

In the western division bracket, the South Lady Rebels played Pleasant Hill Tuesday evening for the girls championship, while the South Rebels played Martin for the boys title. The Pleasant Hill girls defeated Martin Monday night, while the Martin boys beat Pleasant Hill. Those games were played at CCHS.

In the Eastern division championship games at SMHS, the Stone girls played the Homestead-North winner, while the Homestead boys battled the Crab Orchard boys. The Crab Orchard boys eliminated Stone Monday evening.
