CCHS takes fourt at Backyard Invitational

CROSSVILLE — The Cumberland County cross country teams ran in the Backyard Invitational at Voyles Farm near Sparta Saturday and came away with fourth-place finishes .

The Lady Jets finished fourth behind Cookeville, Station Camp, Macon County and ahead of MTCS and Warren County, while the Jets were fourth behind Cookeville, Lebanon and Station Camp, and ahead of Soddy-Daisy, Macon County, Warren County and MTCS.

Chelsey Roysdon finished seventh for the Lady Jets in 23:41.10, followed by Selinda Bryant (25:14.88), Lindsey Roysdon (25:19.98), Madeline Toy (30:27.81) and Allison Sherer (31:36.53).

Ben Tabor was fifth for the Jets in 18:34.88, followed by Kevin Buffkin (15:19.84), Nathan Phillips ((19:21.08), Kyle Lockwood (19:44.06), Brad Mathis (19:47.38), Brady Adams (31:40.02), Ryan Tabor (21:43.60) and Tyler Boniol (24:51.30).

CCHS will race at Fort Bluff in Dayton on Oct. 1.
