Panther soccer improves to 4-0

CROSSVILLE — The SMHS Panthers soccer team ended this week with a record of 4-0 after they defeated Scott County 4-1 last Tuesday, Livingston 2-0  last Thursday and Jackson County 2-1 last Friday.

On Tuesday, Russ  Boyd scored two goals. Jonathan Janeway scored one and it was an own goal by  Scott County when the ball was kicked around in front of the net and the goalie grabbed it, but the ball was over the line. 

On Thursday, Janeway and Adam Bryant scored the two points against Livingston during the second half. 

Janeway also scored both of Friday’s points against Jackson County. The team returns to action Tuesday when they travel to Evansville to play against District 6AAA foe Rhea County, plays at home this  Thursday against Warren County and travels to Kingston Friday.
