Mother Nature forces change in tournament

CROSSVILLE — Due to Mother Nature's fury over the weekend, the Cumberland County elementary basketball tournament's four division championship games will be played tonight at Stone Memorial High School, beginning at 4:30.

In the western division bracket, the South Lady Rebels will play the Martin-Pleasant Hill winner in the opener, while the South Rebels will play the Pleasant Hill-Martin winner for the boys championship at 5:45 p.m.

The Martin-Pleasant Hill games were snowed out Saturday and played Monday night at CCHS.

In the Eastern division championship games, the Stone girls will play the Homestead-North winner Tuesday at 7 p.m., while the Homestead boys will the Stone-Crab Orchard boys winner at 8:15 p.m.

The Homestead-Crab Orchard girls and the Stone Crab Orchard boys games were snowed out Saturday and rescheduled for Monday night, as well.

SMHS will host the countywide semi-finals Thursday night with the championship games Saturday.
