CCHS takes seventh at Maxwell Tourney

CROSSVILLE — The Cumberland County High School golf teams finished seventh in the Keith Maxwell Invitational Tuesday at McMinnville Country Club.

The Jets shot a 331 to finish behind Coffee County (305), Warren County (312), Maryville (314), Cookeville (316), Seigel (318) and Blackman (322) and ahead of Marshall County (338), Tullahoma (339), White County (340), DeKalb County (346), SMHS (361) and Rhea County (364).

Logan Stewart shot a 75 to tie DeKalb County's Ethan Roller, but lost on the first hole of sudden death. Other CCHS scores were Jordan Graham (79), D.J. Shelton (87), Chandler Shelton (90) and Andrew Brown (94).

CCHS will host White County and SMHS Sept. 9 at Stonehenge and Cookeville Sept. 12 at Bear Trace to wrap up the regular season. The District 6AAA Tournament is Sept. 19 at River Watch.
