Sign up now for Babe Ruth Baseball

CROSSVILLE — Babe Ruth Baseball for 2013 in Crossville is in jeopardy due to lack of sign ups.

"Sign-upus must  taken now or there will be no league," said Gaylord Harrison, league president.

Early Crossville Babe Ruth sign-ups are extended until April 8. Late sign-ups will be taken on the day of the draft at Garrison Park.

As March 25, only 21 players have signed up, according to Gaylord Harrison, Babe Ruth president. Registration forms are at all elementary school offices, but school was out March 25 due to snow, with the remaining three days in jeopardy and spring vacation slated March 29-April 5.

"There needs to be at least 50 players for the league to continue," said Harrison.

For the upcoming season, all boys ages 13-15 can sign up and be drafted on a team Monday, April  8, at Garrison Park A Field, rain or shine, at 5:30 p.m.

Every boy who signs up will be drafted and play a minimum of two innings per game.

Please have glove and gleats, and dress for the weather, rain or shine.

Registration forms may be picked up, filled out and left at the Crossville Parks and Recreation office or mailed to Crossville Babe Ruth, 326 Lincoln St., Crossville, TN 38572. If you have any questions, call 484-3554 (Gaylord Harrison) or 210-9950 (Gaylord Harrison).

Coaches are needed for two teams. If interested, call 210-9950.
