The Alcoa Tornadoes scored on eight of their nine possessions to defeat the Stone Memorial Panthers 56-7 last Friday night on Panther field.
Ezekial Koko scored on a 16-yard run to cap a two-play, 49-yard drive for a 6-0 lead with 9:30 left in the first quarter. Blake Burnette booted the PAT for the 7-0 advantage.
SMHS moved the ball inside the Alcoa 40-yard, but turned the ball over on downs.
Jaquez Tyson scored on a three-yard run to cap the 54-yard drive, but the PAT was no good.
Alcoa then drove 46 yards in two plays on a 26-yard run by quarterback Landon Turbyfill with 4:23 left in the first quarter. The PAT made it 20-0.
Alcoa made it 27-0, driving 82 yards to score on a 14-yard run by Alex Soule and a PAT by Burnette.
Bryan Frye returned the ensuing kick 90 yards to slice the lead to 27-7. Patrick Robinson's PAT was good.
Quarterback Peyton Wall rambled 37 yards with 8:43 left to give Alcoa a 33-7 lead, capping a 60-yard drive. The PAT made it 34-7.
A 16-yard run by Tyson capped a 24-yard drive. Wall scored the two-point conversion for a 42-7 lead, and Nick Miller score on a five-yard end-around for a 48-7 lead with 2:46 left in the half. The PAT made it 49-7.
Alcoa converted a SMHS fumble into its final score of the night, a 20-yard run by Jarrod Crenshaw wih 8:36 left in the third quarter.
Brady Wattenbarger completed two of seven passes for 20 yards and punted three times for 30.67 per kick.
The Panthers rushed for 96 yards on 35 carries, including 63 yards on 15 tries by Thomas Janow and 37 yards on 14 carries by Corey Myers.
Frye had five kickoff returns for 130 yards, while Nick Padgett had two for 20.
The Panthers will travel to McMinn Central this week for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
