Crossville Boxing Club hosts amateur boxing event in Crossville

CROSSVILLE — The Crossville Boxing Club hosts their next boxing exhibition Saturday, Nov. 10 at the CHA Activity Center on Yvonne St. next to the TAD Center.

A dozen or so matches are expected during the evening featuring amateur boxers from age 8 up to adult from across Tennessee.  The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the first bout is expected at 7 p.m. This is a sanctioned United States Amateur boxing event and admission is $10. Concessions will be available and all money raised will help the kids participating in the Crossville Boxing Club.

Several local boxers with the Crossville Boxing Club will be participating in the event.

The Crossville Boxing Club has been working with numerous young boxers and is looking for additional members who might be interested in taking up the sport.  The exhibition bouts would be a great way to introduce boxing to anyone who may have an interest.  Additional information will be available at the exhibition.

The club meets at the CHA Activity Center Monday, Tuesday and Thursday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  No experience is required and boxing is great exercise and proper protective equipment is used.
