The Cumberland County elementary varsity basketball season opened Tuesday night with two double-headers, Stone at Homestead and Crab Orchard at North.
Only one score was received — Homestead 39, Stone 22 — in boys action. The other scores were not received by press time Thursday morning.
Gage Cox led Homestead with 11 points.
Dalton Barnes tickled the twine for 13 points for the Coyotes.
Stone (22): Dalton Barnes 13, Mason Houston 5, Michael Miller 2, Rylin Morgan, Timmy Schultz, Brady Adams 2, Dawson Hassler, Majer Wattenbarger, Hunter Pelfrey, Cooper Wyatt, Byron Widemon, Jackson Hughes.
Homestead (39): Zach Pugh 5, Nathaniel Sexton 7, Tristan Norman 9, Jamie Nichols 4, Gage Cox 11, Curtis Tollett 3, Zach Denton, Ashton Doris, Brett Newcome, Seth Sherrill, Austin Bryant, Dylan Cole.
Nov. 13: South at Brown, Pleasant Hill at Martin, North at Stone, Pine View at Homestead. Crab Orchard has an open date.
•The junior varsity regular season wrapped up Thursday night with four double headers — Brown at Pleasant Hill, South at Martin, Homestead at Stone and Crab Orchard at North.
The post-season tournament is Nov. 10, 12 and 15 at Brown Elementary School.
