It’s league or no league for Crossville Babe Ruth

CROSSVILLE — Sign-ups for the 2014 Babe Ruth League ends March 15 at the Crossville Parks and Recreation office. The sign-up fee is $45 up to a maximum of $135 per family.

This year sign-up forms will be available at Dunhams Sports or any county school, but must be mailed to Crossville Babe Ruth, 326 Lincoln St., Crossville, TN 38572.

Please make checks out to Crossville Babe Ruth.

It is imperative players need to sign up immediately, as the draft is March 15 and April 5. Evaluations will be March 15 from 9 a.m. until noon at Garrison Park A field. Bring a glove and spikes.

The goal is for four teams or 60 boys ages 13-16, so sign up now. Boys ages are based on May 1, 2014. As of last week, there were only five signees. If there are not enough players registered by the entry deadline of March 15, the league will be canceled.

Because of health reasons, Gaylord Harrison has turned over the Babe Ruth League for at least six weeks to Darrell Hayes and Clarence Ott. If you have any questions, call Hayes at 1-248-807-1214 or Ott at (931) 248-7030.
