Forty-two new faces are in Women's State Open tournament field
Pro Am kicks off action on July 15

There will be 42 new faces in the Golf Capital of Tennessee Women's State Open, which tees off Thursday-Saturday, July 16-18, at the Stonehenge Golf Course.
As of Tuesday morning, 78 ladies (49 amateurs and 29 pros) have registered for the tournament, with the pro-am on July 15.
Of those 76, 28 competed last year, including professionals Adrienne McDonald of Mabank, TX; Sue Ertl of Bradenton, FL; Taryn Durham, Glasgow, KY; and 2003 champion Sarah Jacobs, Hendersonville, TN.
McDonald, Ertl, Durham and Jacobs are only four of the top 18 finishers from last year to submit entries; however, the entry deadline is one week away.
The other professionals entered include Shelley Anderson, Mallory Blackwelder, Ashli Bunch, Clarissa Childs, Jackie Cone, Karen Daves, Taryn Durham, Tami Dunigan, Sue Ertl, Jeana Finlinson, Katie Fraley, Janice Gibson, Breanne Hall, Rachel Ingram, Brittany Johnston, Katie Kempter, Brittany Klein, Jennifer Kovach, Adrienne McDonald, Lorna Miedema, Ester Moon, Carrie Morris, Diana Ramage, Alley Ramsay, Margaret Shirley, Dawn Shockley, Nicole Smith, Darlene Stowers and Paula Pearson-Tucker.
Several of the professionals are current or former members of the Duramed Futures Tour, while Daves is the 2007 champion.
Defending champion Marci Turner and the seven other former champions — Erin Kurczewski (1999), Katie Gallina (2000), Nicolle Flood (2001), Courtney Wood (2001 & 2005), Leah Hart (2004) and Kathleen Robinson (2006) — have yet to enter, but the entry deadline is still one week away (July 8).
The amateur field includes Ashley Averitt, Tabitha Beard, Katherine Bell, Ashley Birdwell, Evelyn Blackman, Chelsea Boshears, Jordan Britt, Jillian Brodd, Katie Brown, Carolyn Cochran, Andrea Cropper, Angel Cropper, Lisa Daubner, Mary Katherine Furr, Katy Beth Glover, Ashley Haggard, Morgan Hale, Jordan Hollinshead, Sara Hunt, Rachel A. Ingram, Alex Jasper, Betsie Johnson, Ashley Lance, Carolyn Levy, Staci Lynch, Jessica Maness, Melanie Manis, Patricia Masick, Sarah Mathews, Linda Mullins, Megan Murphy, Rhonda Nadasdi, Jennifer Newman, Alexa Payne, Peyton Ritchie, Jean Roise, Maggie Scott, Lindsey Spradlin, Suzanne Stanley, Janet Steen, Kayla Stewart, Lauren Stratten, Shay Sullivan, Jessica Tarbet, Kayla Turner, Ashley Wathen, Leigh Wilkins and Karen Williams.
Pro Am: The city of Crossville will be hosting the pro am on Wednesday, July 15, at 1 p.m., at the Stonehenge Golf Club. Three amateurs will be paired with a lady professional or amateur in the four-person scramble. The cost is $300 per team, with $100 hole sponsorships still available.

The awards dinner provided by Veolia Water will follow play in the Stonehenge Grill.
