Adult/teen tennis league meets Monday

An adult/teen tennis league will meet at 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon at Cumberland County High School.

All players will play three rounds and be responsible for turning in their individual scores each night.

The round will consist of a six-game format (advantage scoring) with a 12-point tiebreaker played at 5-all.

There will be 28 players including adult volunteers. Players will be responsible for their own alternates if they cannot be there. A list of alternates will be available.

There is no charge for this program as long as each participant is involved in a lesson program (camp, MPG, private lessons, etc.)

The Van Keuren Tennis Academy (VKTA) will coordinate all league activity. Prizes will be awarded based on “mean” score at the end of the season.

VKTA’s mission is to bring the top talent together to help improve the level of play in the Cumberland County area. It hopes all coaches and interested parents will get on board to support this necessary program. The children are our most valuable resource. VKTA wants to unify, not divide, their growth and development.
