The Cumberland County High School Jet soccer team advanced into the semifinals of the District 5AAA Tournament with a 1-0 win over the Rhea County Golden Eagles Monday night at CCHS. Mikey Roos scored a goal in the 25th minute of the first half, after an earlier goal was nullified due to an offiside penalty. Goalkeeper Ron Coleman had several saves for the Jet defense, who had a player ejected for an illegal hit on a Golden Eagle player in the final 22 minutes. Both teams were charged with yellow cards. CCHS played Cleveland Tuesday night in the semifinals at Rhea County High School.
