The Stone Memorial Panther soccer team hosted Anderson County Monday night in the first round of District 4AA playoffs.
"The boys really rallied last night with at least eight shots on goal before the half; however both teams remained scoreless," said Coach Rick Strader. "In the second half, Anderson County just could not keep pace with the flurry of drives by the Panthers. Sammy Fuentes cinched it up with a nice goal up the middle with an awesome assist by Anthony Moore to make it 1-0."
The Panthers traveled to Knox Catholic Tuesday night for the semi-finals.
