Stone track teams win five-team meet

The Stone Memorial track teams won a five-way meet at SMHS last Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Panthers posted 79 points to take first over CCHS (60), York (56), Upperman 29) and Livingston (0), while the Panthers recorded 111 points to defeat CCHS (79), Upperman (40), York (16) and Livingston (6).

Lady Jets Amelia McCoy, Victoria Ports and Maddison Davis finished one-two-three in the 3200 in 14:05, 14:16 and 15:11, respectively.

In the shot put, Tori Branch of Stone was the winner with a throw of 32'6", while teammate Whitleigh Sherrill was fifth (24'9 1/2").

Erin Keyes (4'8"), Kristin Roark (4'6") and Kelly Keck (4'4") finished second, third and fourth, respectively, in the high jump behind York's Katy Bradfield (4'10").

SMHS' Heather McCarl was a second 110 hurdles in 21:72.

Keyes won the long jump (13') ahead of Whitleigh Sherrill (12'6"). CCHS' Leah Shulley (12'2") was third, with teammate Kendall Yates sixth (11'8").

Stone won the 4x100 in 53:12, while CCHS won the 4x800 in 12:39.94.

Kelly Keck won the 100 meter dash in 13:69, ahead of teammates Rebecca Gonzales (13.69) and Kat Thompson (13:98). CCHS' Courtney Pearson (15:16) was fifth and SMHS' Whitleigh Sherrill was seventh (15:93).

Kelly Keck took the triple jump (27'7 1/2"), with Kendal Yates second.

In the 1600, CCHS' Amelia McCoy was the winner (6:32.82), followed by teammates Taylor Williams (7:04.64) and Jessie Miles (7:43.32). Whitleigh Sherrill was fourth (7:51.46).

SMHS won the 4x200 in 1:56.1.

CCHS' Courtney Pearson (1:12.67) and Leah Shulley (1:13.24) finished third and fourth in the 400-meter dash, while SMHS' Sarah Sweeten (1:17.5), Lori Keck (1:17.53) and McCarl (1:17.88) rounded out the field.

Kelly Keck won the 300 immediate hurdles in 60.12.

In the 800 meters, Lady Jet Amelia McCoy was second in 2:51.76, with teammates Taylor Wiliams (3:01.03), Madison Davis (3:02.19) and Jesse Miles (3:28.38) third, fourth and seventh, respectively. SMHS' Presley Hall was sixth (3:20.88).

Kelly Keck won the 200-meter dash in 28.65, followed Missy Bargayo (28.75) and Courtney Pearson (32.02).

CCHS was second in the 4x400 in 4:53.63, with SMHS third (5:51.66).

In the boys 3200, T.J. Noel was the winner in 11:43, ahead of Bryant Davis (11:53) and Drew DeLorenzo (12:30).

In the shot put, SMHS' Greg Roark was the winner (41'2 1/2"), ahead of five Jets — Jeremiah Limburg (40'2"), Adam Ricketts (36'8"), Travis Dawson (35'1"), Chase Woods (34') and Alex Cotter (32'10 1/2").

SMHS' Cameron Fox won the high jump (6'2"), ahead of David Qualls (5'8") and Evan Sanders (5'4"), who won the 110 hurdles in 17:61. Briar Pierce was second in the 110 hurdles in 18:59, ahead of CCHS' Aaron Kirkland (20:79).

Stone won the 4x100 (47:74), with CCHS third (51:65).

Rusty Arwood won the discus (119'), ahead of Cameron Fox (107'6"), Zach Sherrill (97'8"), Will Ballard (94'7") and Cody Suggs (86'3").

In the 4x800, SMHS was the winner (9:45.5), with CCHS second (10:14.82).

Tavius Barnes won the 100-meter dash in 12:05, followed by Tevis Barnes (12.55), and Cody Vance (12.81), with David Qualls fifth (13.17) and Travis Hargis sixth (13.17).

Cameron Fox won the triple jump in 37'5", with Qualls (35'11 1/2'") second and Trey Priestwood (33') fourth.

CCHS' Dustin Seney won the 1600 in 5:22.70, followed by William Seney (5:22.70), Nick Haper (6:00.91), Gary Blaylock (6:07. 60) and Lee Suydam (6:58.84).

SMHS won the 4x200 in 1:40.6 with CCHS third (1:48.33).

SMHS' Trey Hollingsworth won the 400-meter dash in 59:14, with CCHS' Matt Pennycuff third (61.5) and SMHS' Cole Martin (68.68) sixth.

SMHS' Briar Pierce took the 300 immediate hurdles (45.76) with Jet William Seney second (52.85).

The 800 meter dash went to Panther Josh Turan (2:24.76), with Jet Forrest Longway (2:25.85) second, Panther Jacob Butler (2:31.72) fourth and Jet Gary Blaylock (2:45.82) sixth.

SMHS' Tavius Barnes (24.68) won the 200-meter dash, with CCHS' Wiliam Seney (27:01) fifth.

Stone won the 4x100 in 4:01.12, with CCHS second (4:17.0).

Both schools will be competing in their respective subsectionals on Tuesday and Thursday.
