Registration for Panther Middle School and AAU wrestling began Jan. 5 for students in fourth grade and above and must be zoned for Stone Memorial High School.
Students may sign up in the SMHS wrestling gym on Jan. 6 or Jan. 12 from 3-6 p.m.
The first practice session will be Monday, Jan. 12, from 5:30-7 p.m.
The registration fee is $40, which includes 10 weeks of wrestling training from Jan. 12 to March 21 for two days a week, AAU membership and a Panther t-shirt.
Wrestlers will have opportunity to grapple in up to four Saturday tournaments at an additional cost. Experience is not required. Wrestlers are matched by age and size. Your time in AAU wrestling will prepare you for high school wrestling at SMHS.
