CROSSVILLE — Beth Alexander, president and CEO of the Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce, will be leaving the Chamber in February, Chamber Chairman Brad Fox recently announced.

Alexander is retiring after more than 30 years of community service. After an extended vacation, her plans are to continue to be involved in economic development on a multi-state level.

The Chamber's executive committee will serve as the search committee to fill staff vacancies, and research for that will begin immediately.

To ensure continuity of Chamber operations, the executive committee has appointed Sarah Hazelton as interim president. Ashley Allen will serve as senior vice president.

Fox said, "The Chamber has a strong leadership teamwith the Chamber staff and volunteers partnering with the city, county and state officials to grow our economic base while maintaining our quality of life."

Hazelton has a masters in business administration and a bachelor's degree in international business. She has been in a leadership role at the Chamber since March 1, 2012.
