A Taylor's Chapel Rd. resident was left in critical condition after the vehicle she was driving crashed in a single-vehicle accident not far from her home Sunday night.
Myrtle Rogers, 81, was rushed to Cumberland Medical Center by ambulance and later transferred to The University of Tennessee Medical Center where she was listed this week in critical condition in the surgical critical care unit, a hospital spokeswoman confirmed.
The crash occurred Sunday around 6:19 p.m. just over a mile off Lantana Rd. on Taylor's Chapel Rd. near the entrance to Meadow Creek Motor Cross.
Rogers was driving her 1996 Cadillac west on Taylor's Chapel Rd. and for unknown reasons left the roadway on the right side and struck a culvert, going airborne and flipping at least twice before coming to rest on its top.
Rogers was ejected from the vehicle through the passenger window and was found lying in a ditch.
